"Our stay at the yellow door lodge was great. The coffee bar was nice with lots of options. The place is nicely decorated. Both Rex and Lynnette were very quick to respond to our questions. Rex thanks for the food suggestions the food we had at the Four Leaf Brewing was excellent. Also would like to give you both a special thank you for letting us dock our boat at your place. We will definitely be back!"

"This is by far the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. Rex and Lynnette go out of their way to make your stay unforgettable! The Airbnb is immaculate and tranquil. They are always available to give references, directions, or recommendations. The access to the lake is so easy to get to, and the serene environment is peaceful and relaxing. Kayaking the lake is a bonus to this Airbnb. Everything you want and need is provided. As for the picture, they do not do justice to the incredible space. I found this AirBNB by Googling “Best AirBNB in Michigan,” which popped up as number 1. It is not a surprise; it is perfect for couples to have a getaway and a wonderful time away from the hustle and bustle of life. Close to Midland, Clare, and Mount Pleasant. There are fantastic walking and bike trails nearby. The Up North Coffee shop is an incredible stop. We can’t wait to stay again. Book this AirBNB! You will not regret it!”

We loved getting to grill, use the fire pit, and swim in the lake! Lynette and Rex were super helpful and responsive throughout our trip and have great resources for things to do in the area. “I couldn't recommend this place enough! By far one of my favorite stays. Lynnette and Rex are wonderful hosts, very down to earth and friendly and it shows through their rental that they care about their renters stay. They made their place very comfortable and cozy and thought of everything to the little details to make it enjoyable, and they have impeccable taste I must say. Their cute dock is the perfect spot to do some fishing. 100/10 definitely worth the visit. Thank you for the hospitality and wonderful home ♡”

A beautiful area, quaint town, lots to do, lots to see, but you’ll want to stay in the beautiful cabin probably bc it’s just so nice and homey, AND has everything you want or need. Wonderful cooking ware, pristine conditions, darts, cornhole, endless games, fully stocked coffee bar AND tea, a fire pit, firewood, s’mores, I mean what don’t they have. The hosts are the best people ever, truly so nice to talk to, very responsive, helpful, genuine, and just lovely. “The cabin was absolutely adorable. They thought it out down to the fine details. Being welcomed in with good taste in music and an adorable gift basket was the cherry on top! You can tell they care about their guests experiences. Kayaking on the Ausable river and visiting Higgens and Houghton lake was great. Fishing off their dock is always a great time, too. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy get-a-way with with outdoorsy stuff to do. You guys are doing amazing and hope to meet you again at your cute Airbnb. We checked out the lake across the street and enjoyed spending time on the porch, grilling our meals, and watching movies. When we arrived after a few hours of driving, we were greeted by relaxing jazz music, a crackling (electric) fireplace, and a welcome basket with snacks. “This place is such a vibe! The cutest little cabin we’ve stayed in yet as the cabin looks like a page taken out of the Magnolia magazine. Insta worthy for sure! You’ll be hard pressed to find another BNB with better hosts and more amenities than this one offers. Everything you need is available plus extras! We enjoyed using the air fryer for snacks and reheating our Momma Cillie’s pizza. The coffee bar offered so many delicious options. If you’re a coffee snob like us, you’ll love it! Although we didn’t utilize the hosts private dock on the lake, it was nice knowing we had that option if we wanted. Everything you need is just a 3 minute drive into town. We very much enjoyed our stay and will be back!”

"The home is so cute and cozy, I did not want to leave. The design is as pictured, but being in it made it 10x better. The coffee bar is absolutely adorable. I made the best vanilla almond lattes. I also played games that I haven't played in years. My boyfriend and I even used the bonfire. The pit is big enough to make a nice warm fire. During our exploring, the frozen lakes were beautiful. The people were also very nice."
